Author Fee

Duplicate or excess payments: Duplicate payments and amounts paid in excess of the applicable fee will be refunded after verification.

Withdrawal or rejection: If a manuscript is withdrawn or rejected before publication, any publication fee paid in advance will be reviewed for refund in accordance with the applicable circumstances and services already provided.

Fast Review Process Fee: Payment for expedited review does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Refund eligibility will depend on whether the expedited service was provided and whether JERA failed to deliver the service as agreed.

Published articles: Publication charges for articles already published are generally non-refundable, except in cases of duplicate or excess payment, demonstrable billing error, or exceptional circumstances approved by JERA.

Refund application: Authors must submit a written request to the JERA editorial office, including the manuscript ID, payment receipt, reason for the request, and relevant transaction details.

Processing and transaction charges: Any non-recoverable bank, payment-processing, or currency-conversion charges associated with a refund will be disclosed to the author before processing, where applicable.

Refund decision: JERA will review each request and communicate its decision in writing. Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method wherever practicable.
